Review on πŸ“ Aluminum CS5 Level Tool by Johnson by Chris Parrott

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality tool, great price, many many uses!

I am very happy with this carpenter's square. I had to buy it along with the combo square (which I have yet to buy) for a while since I only had the speed square. We finish our basement step by step and buy materials every week and then when we have enough specific material we can do some work. We just insulated the cinder block walls with foam insulation, and now it's time to buy materials for the frame. On the day this came in the mail I was still installing small pieces of foam here and there (for some reason the previous owners thought it would be a good idea to break up a few blocks to run two ducts into the extra crawl space and just into the hole in the fiberglass insulation) and my speed square was too small and my T square was too big to help me cut straight lines in the foam with a razor. The carpenter/frame angle helped a lot. I was also able to use it to reassemble my compound miter saw with a frame square with both the blade on the fence and the blade on the table. I'll use it again to make sure my chalk lines are at the "perfect" 90 degree angle to each other for my soon to be built walls. As you can see, this tool has so many uses and I've barely scratched the surface. I was very happy with the quality for the price. I'm just a do-it-yourselfer so consider my review from that perspective only as I don't know how it will hold up to the daily abuse of the workplace.
