They worked well for a while but the durability didn't last.

I work from home and due to the nature of my work, I spend most of my time at my desk. When I bought them, I wanted to maximize my configuration, using the main ultra-wide display and the second in portrait mode for manuals, terminals, monitoring apps, etc. For the most part, the build worked very well. But after almost a year I can finally confirm the durability. First, when the tension is properly adjusted, the levers hold the displays perfectly still with no noticeable wobble unless the table is moving. For the most part, these mounts are discontinued and forgotten. They include a USB extender at the base which I never used. The meeting was fair. Not easy, but not scary either. It took longer than I thought to put it together given the price. Also, on one of the mounts, the swing arm connection was so tight that the only way to pinch it was to pound it with foam between a hammer and metal to avoid damage. No amount of pressure from a human hand could otherwise have brought these two parts together. To save money, the manufacturer has gone out of their way to put some really ugly logos on it. They are so bright and big in contrast and there are 3 of them per hand that it's unaesthetic. They ripped off easily with tweezers and the sticky layer removed all of the glue holding them in place, that's all. Now, almost a year later, I had to rearrange my device and rearranged a monitor from right to left. I figured I'd just swap out the monitors for the appropriate mounts and that's it. But when I put my HP 27" on the mount with my LG 34 21:9 and put it in portrait mode, the mount failed, flipping the display upside down and slamming it on the table. Thankfully, there was no apparent damage to it didn't happen. I've taken ALL the mounts apart and it looks like the vertical and horizontal placement depends on a rubberized pad to provide resistance. One of the mounts appears to have had that pad loose or may have never worked not right at all so...spent 30 minutes adjusting the pressure and tension to no avail loose gasket seems to be holding my 34" 21:9 well, most likely due to the properly balanced VESA mount. I will say that my HP display has a rather unorthodox VESA mounting solution. Leave it to HP to never get it right. But that shouldn't be an excuse for a mount that's built to handle the weight and size of the display. Otherwise it mostly works as advertised. For the price, I'd like two sets that last more than a year.
