Failing to follow instructions

Label remover worked after you failed to follow the instructions sent to you. They instruct you to fill the bottle with warm water to make it easier to remove the label. It works exactly the opposite. The adhesive heats up and sticks instead of separating the label from the backing. I screwed up the first label I tried. Press down with a hard object (so it sticks well) and then slowly peel off. After that, I was able to easily remove all the labels I wanted.
