This machine is great for my two younger students. Not only did this help them improve their hand-eye coordination and ensure they kept their eyes on the ball as they swing, but it also helped them understand how to swing over and follow the ball to hit the ball with more power hold true. It only took a few days of training with a trainer and their shots improved significantly, making more contact and hitting the ball harder than before. There may be other methods that would work without an instructor, but if you don't have much time to practice in the field, you can set it up in your yard and in minutes the kids will be deviating and working on the basics. My only issue with the trainer I received was the condition when I received it. It comes in two parts and you slide the top of the bar over the bottom to bring them together. Seems pretty easy, but in my case the top half of the bar was bent down where it would need to slide over the bottom of the bar. I had to get a rubber mallet and iron bar to bend and reshape the bottom of the top bar until I could round it again so I could connect it to the bottom half. I did it once and together, no further problems, it works great. The base folds up for storage so I'll probably never take it apart again.
