This filter appears to be a great replacement for the GE
I've been replacing my in-line water filters for a few years. I found this product online and not in any of the big stores. I had a hard time finding a filter that also reduced sediment. In my opinion, if you follow the instructions, there are no problems with the installation. You must flush the filter with water to remove any remaining charcoal as directed in the instructions. Water has no smell or taste. I plan to buy more.
