Review on 🍹 Cuisinart CPB-380 Hurricane Compact Juicer Blender, Gunmetal by Zachary Ester

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I never write reviews but I just had to!

First of all, I NEVER write reviews. I'm almost listless with my purchases, although I do a lot of them. When our NutriBullet blender died I was saddened to have to figure out what would replace it. I liked the simplicity of the NutriBullet, but I liked the idea of getting something a small blender could fit in. We have a Vitamix that I have used for many years, but now I keep it in my office to keep my countertop to a minimum. It's not often that I get it for big mixer jobs. Otherwise, I tend to use a bullet blender for smoothies, shakes, and baby food. I stumbled across Cuisinart and after reading the reviews decided to give it a try. Worst case scenario, if it didn't work well I would return it and buy another NutriBullet. I'm so glad I tried it! BENEFITS: * Greater blending flexibility - large smoothies in one pitcher; one-time smoothies in a cup; Baby food in a small chopping bowl * Quieter than my NutriBullet * $$ - Revain's price is significantly lower than many competitors at the moment * The quality of our smoothies - I think smoothies are becoming more airy and consequently last longer (takes longer to drink), which is very handy when you feed a lot of crying babies! *Two blades mean I can make smoothies and then chop/blend baby food without having to wash immediately between uses. *Love the look of the blender base when left on my counter compared to the NutriBullet. We make so many smoothies, shakes, and baby food throughout the day that they usually end up on the counter, even though I have room for them in my closet. (One of the reasons I decided not to try the Ninja was the look, which I don't like, and the cost.) CONS: * It's painful to remember to rotate the blade or lid in the opposite direction. I hope we get used to it and don't think about it every time! But it doesn't matter. (I find it funny that the Cuisinart website has a video demonstrating the blender and the woman doing the demo repeatedly tries to turn it the normal direction and has to verbalize to do it differently ( as if to remind you * The only other downside would be if I was using it as a replacement for the Vitamix which just isn't designed to play with. For the $$ I've added a $7 4 year guarantee that it will last and that the warranty will allow it to last many years in our family I will update if it blows through sooner than you might expect.
