Review on Winco TSC 2 Tomato Stem Corer by Stacie Bird

I bought this because it looked exactly like the ones we used as the restaurant I worked at in high school and college. The tips on the cutting head are very sharp, but oddly there were no edges, and instead of carefully slicing the stem off the tomato, she seemed to rip it out. I was expecting it to take just a slight twist of the wrist to remove the stem/pit from a tomato, but apparently that requires a commercial version of this thing. It works pretty well though, just be careful if the fruit you're using it on is very ripe and/or soft - you may find yourself squeezing a lot more juice than you would expect. NOTE: I've only tried one out of a dozen. packed up. Others may have been spicier, but I've given them away to friends and family.
