The glitter pen idea is GREAT. However, after I erased them, my son noticed that they had little to no sheen when colored and the end of the pencil had hardened. I looked at them and had to scrape off the ends where there was a solid hard sheen. After scraping it off to reveal the crayon again, it felt softer again, like crayon, but a bit crumbly. After the looseness has subsided, the colored pencils become hard again at the end with a dried glitter block and are unusable. It's almost like the glitter dissolves into wax and glue and dries so it doesn't take long before it turns into glitter. Hope that makes sense! I will not buy them again, at least not from this brand. My son's daycare has glitter pens that actually look shiny, so I know there are other brands that work. We also bought glitter markers, which is to be expected! Gorgeous and brilliant! Those crayons. not as much.
