This little skimmer works surprisingly well. I often feed my fish frozen food, which causes a weird protein film on the surface the next day. This annoying film doesn't really go away with a water change and is particularly thick on my floating plants. These floating plants also make the process of removing paper towels quite inconvenient. Worst for some reason in my 30 gallon aquarium. The Azoo Skimmer sucks everything out in minutes. It's very small but works great. I installed it in a corner and turned it on for a few minutes a day. It's strong enough to get a surface film but my plants don't get absorbed. The outflow creates a small current for fish to play in while it is on. In fact, he's sitting next to my HOB filter, but the waterfall doesn't bother his work at all. My only gripe is that the power cord is annoyingly short and you have to toggle it on and off to turn it on and off. However, the minus is not enough to deduct a star. Happy to buy this and will be getting more for my other tanks.
