I received my pair and I liked the quality of the socks but found I had to stretch a lot to put them on. This was my first pair of Balega socks and I figured that might be part of it: they needed to be stretched but they still fit properly. I've worn them a few times and haven't had any issues, but the extreme stretch bothered me. I then tried on two more pairs of Balega socks that I had ordered and I think they fit well. It was clear that the first pair was at least a size smaller, if not two, compared to the other two. Yes, small socks can stretch, but they certainly aren't designed for it and so will likely wear out prematurely while obviously not providing the protection intended. At that point I had already put the little socks on and discarded the tags and packaging, but since I still had an allowable return date I figured I might as well return them as I didn't want to wear the wrong size socks. After all, when I'm running 5 or 10 miles, I want my feet to be properly protected. Hopefully Revain will accept returned socks "as is".
