Review on Extech RHM15 Mini Temp Indicator by Jake Pavelko

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Bought for acoustic guitar. accurate compared to analog.

I bought this device for two reasons. Firstly this Extech company has been around since 1971 and my other choice was Inkbird which has less than 10 guitars and secondly Taylor guitars list them on the website even though I don't have a Taylor. Also, the Inkbird and Oasis specs list a 30% RH lower limit, in their reviews people say they don't read at this point, while the Extech RMF15 shows up to 10%, which is more useful to me. It worked after I took out the battery which is the only way to remove the thin plastic cover that prevents the device from turning on, as it is underneath the battery I had no trouble removing the battery cover. I only have one other hygrometer which is a Stewmac equivalent, about 4 1/2 inches in diameter and it has always seemed accurate based on several decades of living where I live and how things change here, when a tree is perfect. dry. I admit I was concerned that this Extech RHM15 model would be a far cry from its 4 year old Stewmac counterpart, but after 4 hours both showed a one degree difference in temperature and relative humidity. I keep some of my guitars in a small cabinet and in their solid body. Corps and placed Extech alongside Stewmac. I bought it mainly to have a device that I can plug into the body of the guitar and have a min/max readout. Relative humidity is very close to what an hourly weather report says, and how to tell if it's dry or wet by looking at the hair, skin and wood in the house. get and offer me a very tight tempo and RH in a guitar case. and much more by purchasing a professional device. From what I used as a reference above, this is very close to being correct and I'm glad I made that choice.
