The bulbs were used to replace the existing light bulbs in the ceiling fan. When I replaced 3 lightbulbs with LEDs, they glowed at low intensity when I supposedly turned off the light with the remote. I was able to turn off the lightbulbs by turning off the power to the main fan. I could also eliminate the low intensity glow by replacing one of the LED bulbs with an incandescent bulb. There is a note from the manufacturer that says this can happen if you have a neutral/hot wiring mix-up. I checked the wiring from the main switch to the fan control box and found no reverse polarity. The problem exists with both the top and bottom fan lights, which are controlled separately by the remote. I tried to contact the manufacturer for suggestions but got no response. I'm posting this note just in case someone has a problem and found a solution. It remains to try to swap the wires from the fan controller to the headlights. Now I have LED bulbs with a glow in both the top and bottom lights. The pears themselves are fine.
