Easy to install watching youtube instructions on another computer if available. OEM. Looks almost exactly like the broken one I took out. It even has the same stickers on the back with almost the same numbers (I guess the difference isn't much more than the date of manufacture). A third of what MicroCenter charged me, and that doesn't even include labor! Looks and feels the same. The only thing I didn't expect (but probably should have) was that I had to recalibrate the color and contrast after installation, but that only takes a few minutes so no big deal. Take it, you won't regret it. I almost feel like I no longer have to worry about broken laptop screens since they are so cheap and easy to replace! But I will leave the old one there until someone announces that they will pick up electronic scrap. It may be too valuable or toxic to just toss in the trash. Update: After about a month of using the new display, I'm disappointed. I'm often annoyed by stripes that look like concentric ovals that vary slightly in brightness. I don't recall seeing this on the original display. My conclusion is that I either got a lemon or despite all indications to the contrary this part is not OEM or equivalent. I won't be taking my laptop apart again because of this, but I'm reminded every day that maybe I shouldn't have bought it from the lowest bidder.
