Review on Chicken Soup for the Soul Pet Food - Adult Dog - Beef and Brown Rice Recipe - All Natural, Grain Free Dry Dog Food with Real Ingredients by Carrie Porter

One dog refuses food, the other eats

I have 2 adult puppies, neither are very fussy eaters, but both have sensitive stomachs. When I fed her this, I introduced it slowly at first. But even then, my older pup pulled out each of the Chix soup pieces and tossed them outside of her bowl while she continued to eat her regular piece. Eventually she eats it now as it's the only thing I'm feeding her at the moment but not without protests lol. My other dog thinks it's the tastiest thing in the world and eats it - no problem. I haven't had any problems with intestinal changes in any of the dogs, and one dog that ate it conscientiously did not throw it up (common with her and some new foods). The ingredients seem good to me. The first two ingredients are real meat, followed by turkey flour, which I agree. There is a minimum number of grains, but I think there are many more good and healthy ingredients than so-so. The size of the granules is small, so it is ideal for small dogs. Overall I am happy with this food for my dogs although mine struggled a bit.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Not as fat as the others
