My dog eats this: Dogs

It's hard to find food that my oldest dog, Mr. Picky, likes. It's not Mr. Picky's favorite dog food, he eats it in reasonable time (for him). And that speaks volumes. Judging by the ingredients on the packet, this is healthy dog food with all the Mr Picky benefits. The pieces are just right for him (a medium sized dog) to chew on and he doesn't carry them around first and make a mess. The smell is pleasant, doesn't irritate me and doesn't make a strong impression. I'm guessing they're delicious

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Very expensive

My dog loved it! for dry food

My dog just loves this food! The kibbles are smaller, round and flat which is perfect for my dog and easy to eat with her sensitive teeth. The feed also had a slight odor which I appreciate as I'm not a fan of pet food smells. I liked that the first ingredients listed were "beef, turkey, turkey meal, beef meal" and that the food was packed with vitamins, minerals and nutrients along with ingredients that I knew and could pronounce. My husband did mention to me that her coat is shinier and…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Communication with seller

It's not bad. Edit: Possibly bad

Not the worst, but not the best either. Contains many grain ingredients, whole and crushed, in the top ingredients. Dog food advisor gives 4 stars (no beef added for chicken version yet). I would have thought it would be 3 or 3.5 but they know better. I gave it to the younger of my two beagles, she really liked it. I alternate kibble with a variety of toppers so this is a good mid-range option if you're in the middle of any type of transition. Edit: Downgraded from 4 to 2 stars after prolonged…

One dog refuses food, the other eats

I have 2 adult puppies, neither are very fussy eaters, but both have sensitive stomachs. When I fed her this, I introduced it slowly at first. But even then, my older pup pulled out each of the Chix soup pieces and tossed them outside of her bowl while she continued to eat her regular piece. Eventually she eats it now as it's the only thing I'm feeding her at the moment but not without protests lol. My other dog thinks it's the tastiest thing in the world and eats it - no problem. I haven't had

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Not as fat as the others

I wish I had found this sooner

If you had said chicken soup for the soul today I would think of the books that were so popular when I was young. I had no idea this company made pet products until I got a chance to test them. Ouch. My. My goodness. I am impressed. I have a 60 lb black dog who is as picky as can be. Even when we buy the most expensive pieces, he pretends they're terrible and he can't eat them. We always have to give/mix freeze-dried food or something else tasty for him on top (he usually doesn't eat wet food…

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • negativity present

Finally found something my dog will eat and I can give it

My puppy is very picky about food. Then add that if he really likes food, he'll inhale it so fast he's choking! So I need a dog food that is not only good for him and easy to give, but isn't insanely expensive either. And there should be small pieces in it. You would think this would be easy to find with all dog food brands, but it isn't! I stumbled upon this dog food chicken soup for the soul and was excited to try it because of the ingredients and the size of the dog food. The biggest hurdle…

Pros
  • High marks for support and longevity from testers
Cons
  • Has been damaged

Healthier, natural dog food, but BEWARE: Can lead to nasty flatulence!

My dog is a picky eater (he would eat firewood if we let him) so he ate this new food with no qualms. Although we mixed it with her old food to give her time to adjust, this food seems to cause gas, at least initially, because she farted for the first week. Luckily this seems to have subsided because, let me tell you, those were powerful bombs that she detonated! However, aside from this temporary uncomfortable result, she seems to like the food and there were no other adverse effects. This…

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Not sure

This food contains a moderate amount of protein and is free from soy, wheat and corn which are the main allergens for dogs. My two are littermates and have issues with hot spots and digging. So until it flared up, I'm optimistic about this brand. A little smaller, but she doesn't seem to mind. They are not very picky, although their stomachs are. I haven't noticed an increase or decrease in potty breaks and so far the farm is running smoothly. The ingredients contain grains, but also a lot of…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Some problems
