Review on 🐠 10 Gallon Aquarium Divider with Suction Cups - Optimal Fish Tank Separator for Betta Fish by Elisa Suggs

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Maybe just for bigger bettas?

I used this separator to separate two males. First, it was very frizzy and took some time to straighten out. The grille had to be cut, causing the top and bottom rails to no longer fit. The suction cups were very difficult to "push" into the smaller hole. I was fine and managed to get it into the aquarium. Only one of my bettas almost drowned because there was too much space between the side rail and the suction cups. The fish could clearly see that there was another and would dangle from the sides trying to peek at the other and pounce. I figured it wasn't big enough for him to fit in. I was wrong. I came back thinking he was dead because he was trapped between the rail and the suction cups. I quickly removed the shrapnel and was happy to catch it before it drowned, now it only has a few scars and a new ten gallon tank. I DO NOT RECOMMEND for very aggressive Bettas or fish under 3 or 4 inches. The gap is TOO BIG and tempting. Also, it was a bit of a hassle to set it up.

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • The list is getting long.
