To save money I switched from 750ml bottles to 1.5L bottles. With the brand I liked, the plastic top was much more difficult to open. I tried an opener and although it worked, opening a bottle of champagne was still very physical. Decided to buy a champagne opener. Now it's very easy and I'm not interested in looking for a better opener. It takes several attempts to effortlessly open a bottle of champagne. On my first try, I didn't know how fast or how hard to grab the handles. After the third time it's no problem.
