I wanted to use the SSD from my dead MBP as the boot drive on my PC, but this device doesn't make the SSD bootable. However, it works fine on the operating system. It only fits on my motherboard because I have two M.2 slots. In the first slot, the components were placed too close to the adapter. Luckily, he barely squeezed into the second slot. However, that's not really the device's fault, and I don't see how it can be made much narrower. Just make sure you have enough space around the M.2 slot. Overall I'm happy for the most part, but very disappointed that I wasn't able to boot from the SSD.
