Well Updated Bluetooth Speaker

I bought the original Soundlink Mini about three years ago and am very happy with it. I've used it at home and in the office. In my office, I had to keep the volume down, but it never sounded muffled, producing crisp and clear highs and ringing lows. At home with the sound on, he never failed. When the updated version came out, I hesitated, but the updates made it worth updating to a newer version. My original device now adorns my sister's house. Being able to use it as a speakerphone is a handy feature. Callers notice my voice sounds clear. An incoming call can be accepted (or rejected) by pressing the button on the top of the device. For me, the more important improvement is the Bluetooth implementation. This new device can remember up to eight paired devices and actively (and simultaneously) pair with two of them. When you turn it on, the device reports the battery level and which two devices it's paired with. (Audio prompts can be turned off.) At this point, content will be played from the first device that outputs audio content. If that device stops and another device starts playing, the speaker seamlessly switches to that second device. My device automatically connects to my laptop and smartphone. It remembers my Kindle Fire and connects to the Kindle when the laptop is off. Very smart. Bose has replicated this implementation of Bluetooth on its other devices. They've also improved battery life, replacing the proprietary charging port with a standard mini-USB port. All in all a decent upgrade.

Pros
