Only occasionally do I have to add a little fabric softener. These dryer balls work just as well as anything I've used. They help fluff up clothing, reduce static electricity build-up and speed up drying time. Anything that has lint, a desiccator will help fluff the garment back up. They're great for things like pet litter that you really want to loosen up. I love that they come in a reusable bowl.
