Review on SYLVANIA XtraVision Halogen Headlight Contains Lights & Lighting Accessories and Bulbs by David Jennings

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Much more brightness from these new bulbs, no Silverstars required.

It was an excellent expense at $16. I have a mid-2000's SUV with complex reflector headlights and clear lenses. I also have fog lights in the bumper. My headlights worked perfectly. But it was a used car and I had no way of knowing how old the headlight bulbs were. I also noticed that when driving at night, my fog lights were brighter than my headlights. On the other hand, I'm the kind of idiot who will manually adjust my own headlights from the factory settings so I can actually see the road, not just 50 feet in front of the car. With a sticker appointment and an oil change coming up, and the dark months in the Northeast approaching, I decided to change my headlight bulbs. Pears fade with age. That's a simple fact. Would I like the explosive light of stronger Silverstars? Of course. In less than a year, will I be removing the headlights from my SUV to change the bulbs again? Not so much, since the manufacturer leaves no space for access to the front panel from the back, and to change the light bulb you have to remove the whole thing. So my solution boiled down to strength and durability as any increase in light comes only from incandescent bulbs. be new The boy was surprised. These bulbs don't claim to be brighter than the stock bulbs, but compared to the old bulbs that came in I literally get a 40% increase in brightness, if not closer to 50%. I also get better spread and more coverage up, down, left, and right. Reflective signs now light up when I turn on the headlights during the day. And since I'm the idiot who adjusts my headlights for the correct, useful lighting, people flash their headlights at me two or three times per trip at night. . If you want to keep your headlights working for the next few years and want the benefits of a new set of bulbs over the flimsy old one, this is a great way to spend $16.

Pros
  • More mileage than regular bulbs
Cons
  • Vulgarity
