I had problems with the stock wiring harness melting due to turbo overheating and exhaust heat from the passenger side of the engine. For some reason it never occurred to me that I needed to put some kind of thermal protection on it. After replacing the stock wiring harness several times, I decided to order this coupler as I didn't want to cut the wires to complete the installation. The velcro made it easy to "install" and it holds up very well. It's installed on an 18 year old emissions complaint truck and a must as they run a bit hotter than their pre-emission counterparts, especially during regeneration (😑😑😑).
