I am very picky about my knives and these two knives which both come with plastic sheaths have been good. The handle is made of plastic so it's easy to clean and won't pick up liquids and bacteria like wooden handles. The black color looks smooth and the knife blade looks sharp. But when I start editing, it gets a little boring to me. Not sharp like my other expensive knives. But for a new knife out of the box, it still needs to be very sharp, but not that sharp. The entire surface is very smooth, except for the top tip of both knives. If you run your finger over the top and get to the top it will be rough like they didn't smooth it out. As you can see, I found it harder to cut the tomatoes on the outside than in the middle. There should be a smooth, sharp cut on all sides. Overall, at $10 for two semi-sharp sleeve knives, this is a good camping or work kitchen knife.
