Bought these to replace Allen Edmonds Eastport boat shoes which I bought over 3 years ago. The previous pair were great shoes and I would give them 5 stars. The only reason I threw them away was because the stitching on one toe came undone. AE does not restore these shoes. The color of the leather and laces is different from the previous set, not bad just different. The sole is exactly the same as the original (and it was very long). The seams look different. slightly thinner than the previous version and now made in the Dominican Republic. They are just as comfortable as the "originals" so due to the sole and comfort (+) and the thinner stitching and that they are no longer made in the USA (-) I'm giving them three stars. if they are worn in the same way as the previous ones and last just as long. I am increasing my rating. I wear it for everyday use in the office and around town once or twice a week. sometimes during actual boating.
