The more I got into arts and crafts, the more I realized that holding something up to a window to paint wasn't very good over the long term. Possibility. I did some research and settled on this model, in part because it's rechargeable, making it more portable than one that needs to be plugged in for work. I charged this device for about 3 hours and when I touched the power button it came on quickly and at full power. To dim it, touch and hold the start button until you reach your desired light level. There's no glare, and during the time I've been using it - probably around an hour - my eyes didn't get tired at all. The light is very even across the screen - I can't find a single faint or dark spot on the screen. Like all delicate electronic devices, it's probably quite fragile, but no more so than most smartphones and tablets these days. The design is simple and elegant and looks very beautiful. So far I am very happy with my purchase!
