Faster than cheaper options

You can get a cheaper 246GB flash drive, but it won't be as fast. I tested using the Blackmagic Disk Speed Test (which tests video capture speed) on a 2016 MacBook Pro (Mojave). The attached screenshot shows results that are very close to advertised with a read speed of 382 MB/s and a write speed of 176 MB/s. This was with the drive plugged directly into my MacBook via a USB power adapter. When used via the CalDigit dock, speeds were slightly slower (316 reads, 117 writes). In comparison, the $28 SanDisk 256GB promises 130MB/s read and 60MB/s write. HP's $30 256GB USB 3.0 drive promises read speeds of 70MB/s. Flash drives from other manufacturers that offer more storage at a lower price don't even list read/write speeds in their specs. Drive. If speed matters, this is a good option.
