Review on ๐Ÿงฉ Peel and Stick Baseplates with Compatible Adhesive by Patrick Stowers

Easy to use! Creative solution!

I bought these to make a table big enough for a 6 year old to give to friends. I regretted that the 'prefab table' I bought from a well known children's brand was too short for my own 6 year old. There weren't any inexpensive, well-designed tables for older kids (which is silly since younger kids can actually use Lego instructions and actually build) so I did an "IKEA hack" with them. My friend wanted a storage solution so I found the perfect table with interchangeable baskets (IKEA Flisat series) and attached these base plates on top of the basket lids (see photo). The instructions were very clear and helpful and we ended up using a 10" x 10" plate plus 8 rows of another plate so they could sit perfectly on the bin lids. (This idea works for those who don't need a huge Lego surface and want a multipurpose table). So when the lids were panel side down the lego panels were placed in the basket creating a level surface for other table uses. I was very proud of myself. It was well built, easy to cut/break off (we followed the instructions with lego pieces to ensure alignment from one panel to the other) and the lego fit perfectly on top. The adhesive backing came in very handy. some marks on the top of the table after carefully measuring and sticking. We recommend! We even had leftover plates that we'll use on our own wall just for fun.
