Carbon fiber but not what you think

Judging by the price, this is not a true full carbon helmet. If you are looking for weight loss then this isn't it as it was as tough as any candid look I've had. It looked really good so if you want to showcase the nice carbon fiber look. definitely keep going.Fit was wrong. I followed their guide and ordered the Medium as with every other helmet I have (open and closed face). This helmet did not fit. It was *extremely* tight and immediately gave me a headache. So I need to upgrade to a big one and see if that works. Well, returning it will cost you money. I've waited months for this to be available and the manufacturer was happy to give me a coupon code after I asked if they could provide an estimated 'in stock' date. I didn't ask for a discount, it didn't bother me in any way, but they gave me a date and a voucher, which was very valuable and unexpected. Unfortunately, this code was a one-time use, so not only did I have to pay to return a helmet that didn't fit (despite following the sizing guide), I also lost a $60 savings. At this point it wasn't worth risking a second purchase hoping it would fit. I ended up buying a non-carbon helmet elsewhere and decided to stick with the more established brands. I bought a medium from another brand and it fits perfectly. Lesson learned.

Pros
  • Lightweight carbon fiber composite shell construction
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
