After I lost the drawstrings on my American Apparel hoodie and put it back on by hand, I swore it would never happen to me again. I remembered an old jacket with these zippers and thought they would be a good idea next time I need to wash something with a drawstring. They arrived very quickly and work great! Before washing a hoodie or jogging pants, I attach these lace fasteners where the cord meets the fabric of the garment. After I took it out of the washing machine the laces were right where they should be because of those locks! Fabulous! I take these zippers off when I wear them, but they stay on wash after wash. Works great.
