Excellent thread grip.
I like them so much that I ordered another pair. I agree they are flimsy, but they are designed to pull the needle, not to "push" the needle. I wear it on my right thumb and index finger and a sturdy thimble on my middle finger to push the needle through when needed. I plan to use the second set on the other hand along with the leather thimble I already use on this hand. Yes, it might seem like a lot of ambidextrous pushers, but my arms get less tired and twitching from working with multiple layers of fabric for long periods of time.
