They are great for lightweight fabrics!

I love them! They are ideal for hand sewing quilt hems and other light sewing jobs. They make it a lot easier to grab the needle and offer just enough protection for me to easily push the needle through. Not suitable for heavy fabrics that require more force to insert the needle and do not offer protection against needle stick injuries. But they are comfortable, soft and perfect for sewing light fabrics. I wear one on my thumb and the other on my other finger.

These thimbles didn't work for me to get my needle through - they're too soft for me and you just slide off the needle instead of holding it. Still, I found a great alternate use for them, which is why I gave them stars. When I embroider by hand, I hold a metal thimble on my middle finger and use one of those round, flat, rubber grips to pull the needle through. However, I do rub my index finger on a metal thimble; After a while of quilting, this spot starts to hurt a lot. When I put one of…

Game changer when sewing

Like most crafters, I have boxes of gadgets that should do something but didn't. This is a product that works. I embroider around fusible applique blocks. Sometimes I have to go through multiple layers of fusible material and fabric. God it tore my hands. I'm glad I found her at Revain. After one evening I immediately ordered another pair. Now I wear it on three fingers of my right hand. You are so comfortable. Some reviewers wish they were thicker, but they're meant to be grippy. They are not…

Excellent thread grip.

I like them so much that I ordered another pair. I agree they are flimsy, but they are designed to pull the needle, not to "push" the needle. I wear it on my right thumb and index finger and a sturdy thimble on my middle finger to push the needle through when needed. I plan to use the second set on the other hand along with the leather thimble I already use on this hand. Yes, it might seem like a lot of ambidextrous pushers, but my arms get less tired and twitching from working with multiple…

Leather lasts longer

I like this - good size; I have thick fingertips. They stay on but have enough ventilation to keep your fingers from getting sweaty. For my hand sewing, I've found this works better as a thread puller (sometimes it's difficult to get the last bit/eye of the needle through the fabric), as opposed to a real thimble. I wore this on my middle finger during a project where I "twisted" the needle with each stitch and quickly punched a hole in the tip of it. It will still "stick" (like a rubber grip)…
