Review on 🧡 Dritz Medium Needle Puller - Pack of 2 by Ginger Allen

Found a great alternative use for these soft handles (but didn't work for getting needles through a quilt)

These thimbles didn't work for me to get my needle through - they're too soft for me and you just slide off the needle instead of holding it. Still, I found a great alternate use for them, which is why I gave them stars. When I embroider by hand, I hold a metal thimble on my middle finger and use one of those round, flat, rubber grips to pull the needle through. However, I do rub my index finger on a metal thimble; After a while of quilting, this spot starts to hurt a lot. When I put one of these grips on my index finger, the spot on the joint actually softens and I don't feel it at all. The nice soft grip material is perfect for this and makes my quilting a lot more enjoyable. By the way, I couldn't think of a better alternative than these green rubber discs for pulling the needle. They offer great support, but I find it a bit annoying picking them up and putting them down every time, so I was looking for a permanent attachment. Sounds like a silly complaint, but within an hour or two of quilting, those extra little movements add up. I also tend to lose suction cups when moving the hoop.

  • Thimbles
Cons
  • Hard to tell
