Not as good as reviewers think. Advantages: 1. Very efficient. They can be powered by any decent amplifier or receiver2. Very Dynamic3 Affordable4. They make rocks. Cons: 1. When compared directly to Tekton Lores (comparable price), SVS Ultras and a few relatively inexpensive NHT SuperOnes, they are much worse at high and mid frequency resolution. Of course, tectons can be boring. NXT and SHS are not tiring at all.2. The bass is a bit muddy and unmanageable. Is probably due to the port setting. I'm not a fan of ported speakers at all, but modern designs are very good. Tektons were exceptional in this regard, as were the SVS bookshelves. The NHTs are sealed and very strong and manageable when rolled a bit. Klipsch seem to be tuned suboptimal. While these are very good speakers, I'm not as enthusiastic about them as Steve Guttenberg and Sean from Zero Fidelity. They're very good for the price, but there are better ones for a few bucks more. For the price I would have preferred the Tekton M-Lore. They are just as sensitive. Also, while not as efficient (they need real power - 50 watts or more), the NHT SuperOnes sound better for $200 a pair. If you have the money, the SVS Ultra Bookshelf is much better, but it also requires 50W or more. Ideally, both should have 100 watts of quality power to work. It's not cheap. Typical AV receivers are notoriously oversized - don't believe their claims. For music you need a decent stereo amplifier capable of 100 watts per channel across the full range (20-20kHz) not just 1kHz - both channels are desirable. In short, they are great for home theater use as they are very efficient, but there are better ones for music. Others disagree, but this is MY review! ;)
