Good upgrade. on Home Audio

I really like my debut B6 Elac but I wanted a little different sound and maybe better sound quality. Without making Elacs feel bad, they are good at labeling crates. Slightly more dynamic, higher pitched, wider soundstage. The horn doesn't scream, the mids aren't restrained, the bass isn't overwhelming or anemic. It goes well with rock, blues, jazz or classical. Live acoustic recordings are played indoors. Great with a good digital but better with a decent vinyl setup. Really efficient. Emotiva

impressive presence and balanced detail

Bought a Klipsch RP-600M to replace Usher S-520 speakers which developed a defect in the bass cone (after over a decade of regular use). Usher speakers had a warmth that Klipsch lacks. Instead, to my ears, the Klipsch are neutral or even slightly bright in the high frequencies. However, the RP-600M is extremely balanced across the audio spectrum. The RP-600M takes about 10 hours to get a decent break-in period; the sound gets a little warmer. I read it's quite long for speakers. I take this as…

Fantastic speakers!

First off I LOVE listening to these speakers. Many people complain about the "bright" sound of these speakers, but I haven't experienced that. It really depends on what you're used to hearing. If you're used to Beats speakers or similar offerings, you'll find they lack bass, but you should give up believing that bass equals quality, because that just isn't true. If you want more bass - the equalizer. Sometimes I use the Bass Boost setting on my receiver because my subwoofer is a little…

Efficiency can make a difference

All observations were made using: Digital: Mac-book > schiit eitr > chord mojo > vista audio spark blue denim cable Vivo is full of cat litter These speakers sound amazing well recorded music and terrible on poorly recorded tracks. You are not forgiving at all, please remember that. The ability to express a difference in dynamic range due to efficiency rather than track normalization is the component that sets them apart from similarly priced and more expensive speakers. This is the…

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • Good, but not great

Not as good as reviewers think. Advantages: 1. Very efficient. They can be powered by any decent amplifier or receiver2. Very Dynamic3 Affordable4. They make rocks. Cons: 1. When compared directly to Tekton Lores (comparable price), SVS Ultras and a few relatively inexpensive NHT SuperOnes, they are much worse at high and mid frequency resolution. Of course, tectons can be boring. NXT and SHS are not tiring at all.2. The bass is a bit muddy and unmanageable. Is probably due to the port setting.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
