I absolutely love these nail polishes and they look exactly as I expected but I have a few complaints about them. Firstly, in the original packaging that I received, 7 bottles out of 12 leaked. That's more than half the bottles and WAY overkill, especially considering the price of the set is $33. I thought it was an accident and asked for a replacement but the 3 bottles in the replacement set were still leaking. So it looks like it's some sort of packaging issue, which I don't like at all. In the bottles that leaked, basically whatever leaked is part of the "jelly" part of the polish, not the glitter. So the polishes that have leaked out are much thicker than usual and cannot be applied as smoothly. It's very disappointing but polishes are still good although thicker ones are a bit more difficult to apply. It's really a jelly base that helps them "glide" - the ones that are meant to be like they're supposed to make it feel like they're applying pretty smoothly, although you're getting along with your application need to be a little careful if you want to get a full, even coat as I don't think the base is thick enough to ensure that this shine is applied evenly. And no matter what you do, I'd say you need at least three coats of each polish. On the darker ones you almost get by with two coats, but I still had to go back and fill in blotchy areas after two coats (on my nails I used three coats and could still see through most polishes, and on my polka dot swatches I only used two layers used). One coat of the top coat worked well on my swatch points as well, but it took me two to get a smooth finish on my nails. My other complaint is that some of the colors are too similar; I applied several shades of red to my hand at once and they all looked about the same. Also with some colors it's very hard to tell what color they really are - in my photos the color I wear with gold is the same but sometimes it looks blue and sometimes it looks purple. Overall, I would definitely like a little more variety or even bigger bottles of the same color. All varnishes are beautiful and distracting; I would 100% say that you need to use gel polish with them to get the full effect of the polish. I was amazed at how much their brilliance actually reminded me of diamonds! If it's a set of colors that you like, I would definitely say that you can use them. However, be aware that they can leak and you may need a few layers. Next on my list, these are definitely worth trying over a base color so they don't show through, but depending on the color used, they may fade... but that's okay! I'll definitely keep them to myself, even if I don't think they're quite perfect!
