Review on ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ SilverStone KL07B Dampening Systems by Antonio Liu

Not exactly described on their website

I'll start with the big beef that made me return it and give it two stars. The product page on their website (see image) states that it supports 140mm radiators on the rear port and 280mm radiators on the top. I have two 280s and a 140. So that would be nice. if they fit. But that's not the case. The wheels I wanted to use are the Black Ice GTS; They're pretty flimsy (and also very commonly used and work well). But the rear mount doesn't match the 140 at all; and the top bracket will not fit the motherboard even if the board has no RAM. They're great for fans, but if they can't fit RADIATORS that size in those slots, then they should say so. (Note: The 280 would fit the front just fine. Only issues were at the top and rear!) I bought it for that reason and had to return it as a result. If that wasn't my requirement then I might give 4 stars. Pros: Very spacious, fairly quiet, acceptable build quality for the price. In the age of tempered glass and RGB everywhere, it's hard to find a decent windowless case. It's also confusing rather than having a "moduvent" layout that's good for both looks and noise. The outer plastic appears to be of decent quality. Cons: The steel is quite thin. In view of the other features and in view of the price, this is not a problem. The plastic of the drive holder seems brittle, but then again the price. Installing the pump will be challenging; The thin steel requires more insulation than usual. This would probably make a very good positive pressure air-cooled case (140mm fans, front and top inlet, rear outlet) given the real estate, and if you stick to the skinny Rads that require 120mm fans you probably could VERY nice yet quiet case build water cooling (provided the pumps were properly muffled). The USB-C front panel is also worth mentioning. It's nice to have him. However, this is not a 3.1 Gen 2, it is a 3.0 header. The downside of this is that it means 5Gbps peak speed instead of 10Gbps. On the plus side, not all boards have a 3.1 Gen 2 connector yet, but nearly all modern ones have 3.0 connectors, and many USB PCIe add-in cards can add another 3.0 connector if needed. That means no unused ports on the front panel (a pet peeve of mine). I'd say if you want windowless with some cushioning at this price point and don't want to deal with Moduvents, this isn't a bad choice. Just don't count on putting your 280mm wheel on top; nor your 140 behind.
