Review on 🚲 BLACK ONGUARD Pitbull Mini DT 8008 D Lock Bike Combination - 3.55 x 5.52-Inch by Joe Drew

I have several bikes and many bike locks (old standard Onguard U-lock, Kryptonite code cable lock, Kryptonite standard NY U-lock, Kryptonite NY Loop chain lock, Abus- chain and discus lock, bully alarm/U-Lock pager). I put another bike lock in the bike bags on the rear bike racks. I like my old Onguard Bulldog U-lock but this Onguard Pitbull mini U-lock is definitely stronger with a thicker shackle, has less shackle clearance which is better against leverage attacks, but smaller and slightly lighter. A mini bulldog may lack protection, and a brutal mini is too heavy and expensive for me. The pitbull mini U-lock is just right. It saves me space when my pannier is very narrow. This mini U lock only weighs about 2.5 pounds, which is really good. All those "2 pounds or less" folding locks sound great, but they're pretty much rubbish because they're all pretty easy to get banged on at the hinges. The only drawback is that the mini U-lock cannot lock the frame and rear wheel at the same time (not counting the Sheldon method). I think it's possible to use a mini u-lock with the rear wheel/spokes and chainstay on a small post to lock both. A standard U-lock can lock the frame and rear wheel. I use the included 4ft cable to lock the front wheel, helmet and rear wheel with my mini U-lock. If you are looking for a small, light, reliable U-lock at a good price, I think this is the best option. No, it's not the most secure bike lock, but it's not that heavy or expensive either. When I ride a bike, the size and weight of the lock is an important consideration. If you have a very expensive bike and you are in an area with a high rate of theft, such as New York City or a college campus, you may be able to pay for a more expensive ultra high security lock such as a standard Kryptonite NY U-lock or a chain loop NY lock.
