I'm a fan of Back Bay headphones. I absolutely love my AE-30, which I love so much that I bought a second pair just in case. So it pains me to write a negative review for the Runner 60s, but my experience with these headphones has been so disappointing that I feel compelled to share it. Simply put, Back Bay's promise of "deep bass" didn't live up to me. On the contrary, the sound quality is almost completely bass-free. In fact, I'd describe it as tinny - something like an old transistor radio or a cheap pair of "floating earphones" that are good for podcasts but almost useless for listening to music. The Runner 60 comes with 6 different tip sizes and instructions, so try them all to find the "perfect match" you need for good bass response. I've tried them all, as well as a few aftermarket Comfy foam tips, but none of them were able to close my ear canal properly. I will say that the workmanship on these ears appears to be top notch. You have a sense of quality. But perhaps the waterproofing requirements mean you can't adjust anything other than the size of the earcups, and they all feel like they're just resting rather than sealed in my ear canal. As a result, the sound quality is almost the same - just as unsatisfactory - no matter which tip I used. I've also found that the maximum volume I can get with the Runner 60 is significantly lower than with my AE-30s. This, combined with the poor sealing of the ear canal, makes the Runner 60 unsuitable for use in noisy environments such as B. A noisy gym with music playing through the speaker system. Maybe the immobile design of the Runner 60 doesn't suit my anatomy. Whatever the reason I am very disappointed and am sending it back. I'm still a fan of the brand, but not this particular model.
