Review on πŸŽ’ Exploring the Great Outdoors with the Vintage Backpack PKUVDSL Rucksack Adventure by Amanda Holmes

Great backpack for camera, travel, hiking. This versatile bag is top notch!

I have to say this is my new favorite backpack! I bought the color "Coffee". First of all I would like to say that I intended to buy this bag for my camera and lenses on camping/travelling, day trips etc. As a girl who loves video production and photography, I'm always looking for a good all round bag; I have many other types of shoulder bags, mini backpacks, etc. because in the digital media industry your equipment varies depending on your job. A photographer needs different bags for different purposes. Of the many bags I've used, this has become my new favorite as it has so many features and good quality at a reasonable price. I'm going to talk about some of the key features of this bag. Good bad bad. However, there are almost no complaints. I'll admit I haven't really used this bag *yet*, but I'll update this review soon after using it for a while.**EXTERIOR**First, the top of this bag has a flip top lid. which is secured with two bolts. They don't look like buttons you might find on clothing, but they are larger, slightly magnetized (I think) and require some force to open. I think that's good as you want your bag to be secure. The clasps are easy to open, but also difficult to break. There is a handle on the top of this bag so you can carry it in your hand like a suitcase. What I love about a bag. I don't particularly like this type of lace as it is made of the same canvas material. The lace closure is in the same leather as the zippers. I will replace the cable with my own cable and cable lock. There are three main compartments on the outside of the bag. There are two pockets on the sides, suitable for a water bottle or camera lens. Then the main pocket on the front of the bag. All of these bags have nice, durable zippers that won't snag and are smooth and comfortable to use. Each zipper is also fitted with a soft leather strap for ease of use. Finally, this bag has a fourth pocket on the back, on the side behind one of the side pockets. **INTERIOR** Inside there is a zippered pocket at the top of the back of the bag; behind it is another soft area that offers plenty of space for a tablet. It is well padded, mostly in the back of the backpack. Opposite the tablet sleeve there is another Velcro pocket on the inside, a zipped pocket on the front and two other open pockets on the front. At the inner bottom of the bag, it flattens out into a semi-circular shape. The bottom of the bag itself is not padded but is made of a rigid material between the canvas and the lining of the bag - it's not just a thin layer of canvas material. The inner lining is made of a thin cotton material, which isn't as durable as canvas, but isn't too cheap either. Overall this bag has lots of pockets, is durable, easy to use, well lined, good quality (canvas/leather/zippers) and at a good price. If I had to think of any complaints I would say. . I prefer laces that are similar to sneaker laces but thicker, with a drawstring closure. The lining is so-so. Definitely good, but not great. Waterproof. I knew it wasn't waterproof or waterproof when I bought it, but it would be nice if it was at least waterproof. I will either buy waterproofing or make a small rain cover for it (which can be stored in a zip pocket on the back behind one of the side pockets). **EDIT 1 UPDATE** 08/05/2016I used this backpack on a 2 week trip to Italy and it is holding up very well. He's been through a lot of wear and tear. I used this pack every day while exploring Rome with my family. I used the drawstring for the main pocket and side pockets all the time to access my camera, water bottle, etc. There was only one small piece that got damaged from my heavy use with this bag. One of the metal covers covering the magnetic clasp had somehow fallen off. I noticed this too late and probably dropped the suitcase somewhere when I took out the main compartment of the bag. I will add some photos to show what I mean. I'm doing another 2 week trip so stay tuned.
