Sizes for petite women are usually too big for me. I am a 5 foot, 93 pound female with a 27 inch waist and 27 inch inseam. I bought the gray 9011s in size 14 (large) and they match the belt perfectly. Shorts reach to the knees. I wish the shorts were an inch shorter, but I can live with that. I've tried Medium (10-12) and Large (14-16) from a popular brand that starts with a "C" in the past, but Medium was too small and Large was too big. Not to mention that the pants were way too big at the bottom. Not so with these pants. I was disappointed when the industry changed the standard size for big kids from 12-14 to 14-16 because there doesn't seem to be much fit. I wish there were back pockets that there aren't, but the front pockets are big enough and deep enough. There is a relatively small pocket on the side of the leg that helps. I will probably order another color. Please note that some colors may look like different style, so you may not receive what you ordered. I have ordered colors that did not look gathered at the waist and so far I have received them.
