Mainly sawn, unsealed, unvarnished wood

I chose these because the construction looked solid and with a few minor tweaks (screws through severed "legs") it was solid. My issue with this is that they put some sort of stain on the top and sides but didn't seal the surface. Also, the bottom and insides are raw, the saw cuts of the tree are not stained OR glued at all. So I had to glue the whole piece. Who sells wooden furniture without varnish?!
