Edit 06/04/18: Just installed the second of these filters with the same results as the first. The fill rate is very consistent with the first filter and the old blues. No noticeable smell or taste problems. I will order them every 6 months until I have a problem. First Review: I finally gave up trying to find old blue filters and ordered one of those EveryDrop filters. I was concerned about the flavor and fill speed issues that other people have mentioned in their reviews. I'm happy to report I've had no problems and the filter works the same as the old blue or even better. Here is some additional information for those who may be having the same issues. My old filter was of the fast type. On the label it was rated at 0.5 gallons per minute (GPM). The new filter doesn't say fast fill, it's also rated at 0.5 GPM. To test how comparable they are, I filled up the 2 liter bottle I had before removing the old filter. Completing it twice took 1:04 and 1.03, respectively. I installed a new filter and recognized it from the first button press. The water seemed clear from the start and had no odor that I could detect. The first fill took 1:24 and there was some spatter when the system was deflated. But at the end of the first pouring of 2 liters I can say that the flow has improved. The second pour had a little spatter and lasted 1:11. After that, the time between 1:03 and 1:05 was without air. The old filters had much longer air pockets than this one. The package recommends flushing 4 to 5 gallons through the filter before use, so I poured 2 liters 8 times, which is just over 4 gallons. I then left it alone for about 30 minutes to make sure the filter was full and saturated. I refilled the bottle 2 more times to wash away any residue. My first glass of water was clear and tasted good. Now I can recommend these filters to replace the old blue ones. I highly recommend doing a full rinse before using drinking water or ice.
