Review on WINTOOLS 8PC Drum Brakes Service πŸ”§ Repair Tool: Efficient Spring Compressor for Brake Maintenance by Mark Bennett

The brake tools I received failed the first time I used them

This tool kit failed to impress. The low price made me nervous and I had to listen to my intuition. There's not much to say about that, so I'll just list why these tools didn't live up to my expectations: The box the tools came in stinks of chemicals. Some weird plastic, it breaks. Also, the tabs that were supposed to hold the tools in place had collapsed and couldn't hold the tools in place. Also, pliers just don't fit in the space provided. The handles are not as straight as the recess. All of this is insignificant and ultimately irrelevant. Here's what you need to know: On the first spring, and I mean the very first spring I removed, I noticed that the corner of the tool was almost completely worn away. That means the tools are made of inferior steel, have not been properly heat treated, or both. The second spring, and here I choose my words carefully. I hadn't finished the first wheel yet, and the tool was spinning in the handle. The set is now completely unusable. I'll look for a higher priced tool kit and just eat up the money they're worth.
