I bought this toy for my toddler (18 months) hoping that it would be a fun challenge for her. She really loves playing with them, she's not quite old enough to be able to match the shapes the screw the nuts and bolts together, but that's totally fine. She has fun stacking them in different ways and if I get the bolts started for her she can finish screwing them on and can unscrew them herself. I know later on she'll start to understand the concept of shape and color matching and she'll be able to play with them more independently. The quality of the toy is great, the plastic is sturdy and the pieces are big enough that she can hold them easily. I would recommend this toy.
