I bought a pair of elasticated compression wristbands and am keeping this pair. There are a few brands that make just one brace that are significantly more expensive but do the same thing or are shorter so you only have enough material to wrap a strap around your wrist. They are long enough to give enough compression and I pull them tight enough to wrap them probably 1.5 times. I have carpal tunnel (as well as a weak wrist from a torn ligament a few years ago) and I need something to use when lifting weights or any type of bodyweight support to prevent bone shifting and nerve pinching. Rigid palm rests don't work for me, they're too painful and restrictive. I can see a significant improvement in joint pain at the end of the day when wearing it during exercise and also feel stronger and more stable when lifting. If you don't need to bandage both wrists, they are interchangeable (both fit both right and left) so you get two bandages - if one is washable you have one more.
