Review on S'well 18 oz Azurite Vacuum-Insulated Tumbler with Clear Slide-Open Lid - Keep Drinks Cold for 12hrs, Hot for 4hrs - BPA-Free Stainless Steel Water Bottle by Angel Gibson

The smart name S'well combined with the claimed three layer vacuum insulated wall makes this glass stand out from the rest. The insulation is effective, although I'm not sure if the difference with the double layer is noticeable in normal use. The finish is a little darker than I expected from the advertised navy blue, but the big surprise was the texture. It feels quite rough and can certainly help prevent slipping. It's not necessarily better or worse than most powder coatings, but it feels different right away. The biggest surprise might be negative and lid specific. Looks nice, but the slider is not convincing. While many lids are now nearly airtight, this design makes no attempt to achieve that and therefore does not prevent liquid from escaping should the jar fall. This is also possible because the bottom of the cup is rather narrow. The jar arrived without much packaging and I couldn't find any indication of the country of origin. I suppose this follows the usual principle and Chinese products are often just as good or better anyway.
