I used this to make "redneck upholstery" 25 years ago torn and cracked leather upholstery on my favorite armchair. I've used it in large strips all over the seat, headrest, footrest, etc. overlapping about 1/5 the width. It has done its job well and has lasted up to 2+ months of daily use by myself, my family and 2 dogs. There is no noticeable wear on the surface and the adhesion/flexibility is still good, only slightly raised at the very edges (not in the seams). My spouse, on the other hand, admires the functionality but isn't a fan of the big picture. Dogs don't seem to care that much about looks and will use the chair with or without me.
