Regular sock seams always get caught between my shoes and my "round" toes, causing blisters and discomfort. I was surprised that seamless socks don't come in adult sizes, but I've seen several other adult female reviewers choose them with good results. I decided to take a chance and I'm VERY HAPPY. - As another reviewer said, there is a spot where they are stitched together, but they lack any stitched bulk and are actually thinner than the rest of the sock. - The ball of the foot is a bit soft and the height is just right for my calves to wear with boots this winter (I'm 5ft 4in). and they hit me in the middle of the lower leg). - I have 14.25" calves and usually have to order wide calf boots. These socks have a little stretch and are very easy to put on my calves. I will definitely order more of these and shorter ones. for the summer!
