So wide it doesn't fit on your lap when sitting in a chair with armrests. It's also very deep. I'm 5'3" and it came down to my knees so it was wobbly. If you're very tall it might fit on your lap. The slots, which are supposed to hold a phone and tablet, aren't deep enough to keep them upright and the phone slot isn't wide enough to turn the phone on its side. It's well made but make sure you want something that big. I'd have to measure my knees and chair first should, but who would have thought?
