Review on Olfa MC-45/2B 45 Degree Cutter - Single Knife for Mat/Mount Board by Tara Ford

After many unsuccessful attempts to get even, straight cuts with this unit, I found that the blade just had too much play to cut straight Line. Sometimes it cuts just enough, and other times it comes off and ruins the mat. I went as far as making a jig to attach it to a perfectly straight aluminum track. That's when I realized the problem was that the blade wasn't tight and wasn't held exactly in place. Bought Logan and 18 mats, later glad I switched. Note, to be clear, I have an MC-45, not an MC-45/2B that looks like mine, but they may have fixed the problem.
